To my much appreciated and valued clients,

Well, the time has finally come, after 31 great years of practicing equine medicine I'm retiring, effective November 7, 2010. I'm going to miss you all, both as clients and as friends.

Dr. Jed McKinlay, at McKinlay-Peters Equine Hospital , has agreed to take on the responsibility of making sure my clients continue to get the great service that they have come to expect. Dr. McKinlay and I share the same philosophies of how best to take care of our equine friends and their owners, and I have great confidence that you will like having him as your veterinarian. He is a great vet and a great person!

McKinlay-Peters Equine Hospital is having Client Appreciation Day February 5 th , 2011. If you don't get the chance beforehand, this would be a great opportunity to meet Dr. McKinlay, Dr. Peters, and all of their very capable staff. I will be there and hope to see you there too!

I have accepted a supervisory position with the USDA and I begin work immediately, but I am keeping the same phone number so feel free to call me if you have questions and I will return all calls that evening.

P.S. Dr. McKinlay deserves some applause for organizing a group of independent equine practitioners for the purpose of developing a rotating "on call" calendar to make sure that an equine veterinarian is always available for after-hours emergencies. Thank you Jed!
